This is a basic course in using computers for students with no familiarity with computers. It covers topics such as working with Windows and the Windows desktop, file handling, e-mail and the Internet (browsing and searching).1 credit.

Course Outcomes:

  • Recognize and understand the purpose of basic computer components
  • Use the mouse, keyboard and windows framework
  • Navigate the Internet
  • Create, send and receive email
  • Perform basic word processing functions
  • Demonstrate basic file management techniques
  • Use CCRI online tools
